Petersburg man admits to setting boss on fire

PETERSBURG, VA (WWBT) - A guilty plea Friday in the case of a Petersburg man who set his boss on fire.

Henry Morton, 52, pled guilty to two counts of malicious wounding. A judge sentenced him to 40 years in prison with all but 8 1/2 years suspended.

Morton will also be on supervised probation indefinitely once he's released from Riverside Regional Jail.

In November 2009, Morton attacked his boss, 35-year-old Christy Wright, after he was fired as a maintenance worker at the Petersburg East apartment complex.

Wright suffered permanent burn scarring to her forehead.
