CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (AP) - A preliminary hearing for a former University of Virginia lacrosse player accused of killing a women's lacrosse player has been postponed to a date still to be determined.
George Huguely waived his right to appear by video at a brief hearing Monday morning in Charlottesville General District Court.
Additional charges of felony murder, robbery, burglary, statutory burglary and grand larceny were entered into the record.
The new charges were filed against Huguely on Friday. He already was being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge in the death of Yeardley Love.
Love was found dead May 3 in her apartment after suffering blunt-force trauma to the head. Huguely had told police at the time that they had been involved in a relationship that had recently ended.
