RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - City residents are asking Governor Bob McDonnell to delay the installation of a controversial sign at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on the Boulevard in Richmond's Museum District.

Several Monument Avenue residents sent letters to the Governor this week asking for a 60-day delay on a 14-foot electronic display to be placed in front of the museum along the Boulevard near the Hanover Avenue intersection.

A spokesperson for the governor says the request will be reviewed by Virginia's Secretary of Administration.
