Black ice could impact morning commute

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Commuters need to be alert Tuesday morning for black ice on the roads.

The primary interstate roads may appear clear, but road crews are still dropping sand in areas that may have thin layers of ice that are difficult to see and can cause slippery conditions.

Be careful on bridges and overpasses, even on the interstate, since snow that melted Monday will likely stay frozen throughout most of the day.
