JMU president leaving office in 2012

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - James Madison University will soon be on the hunt for a new president.

President Linwood Rose is leaving office in June 2012.

Rose announced his plans Thursday. He's been in the position since 1998.

He informed the Board of Visitors of his plans well ahead of his departure to allow the school time to hire a new president.
