2nd person of interest in Fort Eustis stabbing released

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The second person of interest in the stabbing incident that took place at Fort Eustis was released Wednesday night.

The second person of interest, after questioning by Criminal Investigation Division special agents, was determined not to be involved with the stabbing incident that took place Wednesday at approximately 3 p.m. in Building 698.

The other person of interest, Pvt. Christopher Turner, 7th Sustainment Brigade, is in confinement at Fort Eustis, and has been charged with aggravated assault.

The Soldier who suffered stab wounds remains in stable condition at a local hospital.

This incident remains under investigation.
