Investigators working to identify shooting victim

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Investigators are working to identify the a man killed in Richmond.

The shooting happened around 8:30pm Tuesday night in the 4700 block of Lovells Road.

Police say they got several calls from people who told them they heard gunshots. When officers arrived, they found a man shot outside an apartment. That man died.

Investigators are in the process of telling his family members what happened.

Detectives say three men were seen leaving the area after the shooting in a dark-colored vehicle, but that's all they have as far as suspects at this hour.
