Several conservative and Tea Party candidates have expressed an interest in the Republican nod. Among them is Delegate Bob Marshall, and Richmond Tea Party activist Jaime Radtke.
While Allen is not officially a candidate, he is acting like one, traveling the state attending events and making appearances.
Allen says that he isn't worried about all the current political noise. Tuesday night he participated in a forum with Paul Goldman the former top aide to Doug Wilder, at the Southside Community Services building in Richmond.
