Repairs underway on power outages in Caroline

CAROLINE, VA (WWBT) - It's going to be a cold evening in Bowling Green for many people.

Dominion Virginia Power says 1,200 of the 1,343 customers in Caroline County have no power because a transformer blew a fuse.

Dominion hopes to have power restored to all customers between 9 p.m. and midnight.

The Caroline County Administration Offices closed Monday for the remainder of the day due to the power outage.

The deadline for Personal Property Taxes has been extended to December 7. The Treasurer's Office will be open until 6:00 p.m. on December 7 to accept payments. Mailed payments must be postmarked by midnight on December 7.
