Vigil held for murdered man

Posted by Shawn Maclauchlan

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Loved ones gathered one week after a Richmond man was shot and killed to rally the community to stop the crime in their neighborhood.

Family members were joined by local police officers at the vigil Sunday night.

It was held in the 3400 block of Decatur Street - where the shooting happened.

48-year old Donald Dock was gunned down and police are still looking for a suspect.

The victim's cousin, Linda Johnson, even had a message for the person who pulled the trigger.

"First of all, we hope they would repent, because we are a Christ loving family and hope they would repent. We already forgave them, we just want them to do the right thing and come forward to give us some closure," said Johnson.

If you know anything that can help police call Crime Stoppers. The number is 780-1000.
