Using your smart phone as a credit card

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - There are even more ways that your smart phone could soon become your credit card.

AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile have formed a partnership called Isis.  It's part of a mobile payment network that will launch next year.

Google's Android phone system will be updated with technology that will allow users to pay with an embedded chip that contains credit information.

Another chip company is called Bling which is already in use in the California area. Bling users pay with the chip that is sent to them, and businesses benefit too. They're only charged about half the transaction rate of regular credit cards.
