CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A man plead no contest to second-degree murder today in the killing of his wife in front of a Chesterfield County pizza restaurant.
Earlier this summer, investigators say 56-year-old Richard Parker went to Pietro's Pizzeria in Chester and started shooting, killing his wife, Cindy.
He pled no contest to second-degree murder (reduced from first-degree) and aggravated malicious wounding. The two charges of felonious use of firearm were withdrawn. Parker will be sentenced Feb. 16.
Chesterfield police said he shot and killed his wife, along with shooting teenager Michael Dudley. Dudley stepped in to break up the chaos -- he was shot in the stomach.
