Dr. Christopher Marshall is concerned about childhood obesity at the Family Health Clinic at Crossings.
He says limit "screen time" to less than 2 hours per day but allow the child to "budget" it among TV, computer, and video games to give them a sense of control.
Keep only healthy snacks on hand in the home. If you bring it in the home, they'll eat it for better or worse.
If you have a concern based on your observations or if the child is trending out of bounds on his/her growth curve at the pediatricians office.
