MIAMI, FL (WWBT) - Welcome to the first of many entries to What Lincoln is Thinkin'!

Throughout my sports adventures I will be posting some extra thoughts about what I see covering Central Virginia sports. I'll also be picking games, ranking players, and doing all that cool extra stuff that I don't have time to do on TV.

But most importantly, this is a place where you can tell me what you're thinkin' about whatever is going on in sports. I'm writing this on a plane -- I just landed in Miami for the race in Homestead.

Keep checking back all weekend long as I "take my talents to South Beach" and follow hometown boy Denny Hamlin as he goes for his first cup championship, and the first title for a Virginia-born driver since Joe Weatherly did it in 1963.

I'm pumped about this weekend's race, but I want to hear from you -- does Denny's opportunity to win make you more inclined to watch this weekend's NASCAR race in Homestead?
