RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A triple shooting in Richmond overnight leaves three men in the hospital.

The three men - all teens - were shot by a passenger inside a black SUV while standing on the side of the street.

The shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of St. James Street in Gilpin Court.

Two of the victims were able to make it two blocks away to a 24-hour store before they collapsed. The other went a block away to an apartment where he told the people inside he was shot and to call police.

At this time, police aren't sure if the three were talking to the people inside the SUV or if it was a drive-by shooting.

The men shot are all expected to be okay.

Investigators don't know how many people were in the SUV at the time of the shooting.

If you know anything that can help, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
