FLUVANNA COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - Federal aid is being offered to some Virginia counties to repair conservation damage on farmland caused by this year's drought.

About $110,000 will be provided to farmers and producers in five counties including Fluvanna, Goochland and Louisa Counties.

The funding is part of $8.9 million Federal package being provided to farmers and ranchers in areas affected by natural disasters this year.

The money can be used to remove debris, repair conservation structures, and implement emergency water-conservation measures.
