HENRICO COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - Cases of flu are down this year compared to last, but health experts are still encouraging everyone to get vaccinated.

Tuesday morning, you can get a flu vaccine for free at Richmond International Raceway. This is the third in a series of free flu vaccine clinics held in area health departments recently.

A few weeks ago more than 700 people turned out to the Bass Pro Shops in Hanover County to get vaccinated.

Last year at this time we were seeing a flu pandemic with widespread activity, mostly the H1N1 virus. This year, there are very few flu outbreaks so far and health experts say it's the perfect time to act if you haven't already.

If you want a free flu vaccine, head out to Richmond International Raceway starting at 11 am. The clinic will run until 7pm in the Colonial Building.

Vaccines will be available to anyone 6 months and older. Remember: one shot or flu mist is all you need to protect yourself against both seasonal and swine flu.
