CULPEPER, VA (WWBT) - Culpeper police and Fauquier County sheriff's deputies located Ginger Meadows, who was reported as missing Oct. 27, along with Van T. Stringfellow Jr., the man suspected of being with her.
A Culpeper detective and Fauquier sheriff's deputies found Meadows, 17, and Stringfellow, 29, in a room at a Fauquier County motel about noon, according to authorities.
Meadows, who was the subject of an area-wide publicity campaign and law enforcement search this weekend, was returned to Culpeper this afternoon where she was turned over to family members.
Police said Stringfellow faces a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor in the Meadows' case. He was also charged with failure to appear in Culpeper General District Court in an unrelated matter. Those Culpeper arrest warrants were served by the Fauquier County authorities.
Stringfellow also is being held in Fauquier County as a fugitive from Maryland, where he is wanted on a fraud charge.
Culpeper police expect to charge a second person with obstruction of justice in the missing teen's case.
