RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Pakistani-born Virginia man, facing terrorism charges, has been ordered held without bond.
34-year-old Farooque Ahmed appeared Wednesday in federal court, accused of casing Washington-area subway stations in what he thought was an Al-Qaida plot to bomb and kill commuters.
FBI agents say the public was never in danger since they were monitoring Ahmed.
According to an indictment, Ahmed offered to donate money to Al-Qaida.
He did not enter a plea.
