Obama to campaign in Charlottesville for Perriello

WASHINGTON (AP) - A Democratic source says President Barack Obama will campaign in Virginia Friday for embattled Rep. Tom Perriello.

Obama will speak at a rally for Perriello in Charlottesville. Perriello is locked in a highly competitive race against Republican state Sen. Robert Hurt.

The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because the president's schedule has not been announced.

With the Nov. 2 election fast approaching, Obama is spending much of this week at the White House. He'll wrap up his midterm elections campaigning on a two-day, four-state swing this weekend as he makes a final push to rally Democrats ahead of Election Day.
