Richmond police seek suspect in Azalea Ave bank robbery

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police would like to ask again for the public's help in identifying the man who robbed the SunTrust Bank at 1101 Azalea Avenue in August.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. on Aug. 26, a man walked into the bank and slipped a teller a note demanding money. He did not display a weapon and was last seen walking west on Azalea Avenue. Detectives believe the suspect may have used a white pick-up truck that was observed at the scene.

The robber is described as a black male with a thin goatee, approximately 5'10" to 6' tall and weighing about 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, faded blue jeans, a New York Yankees baseball cap and red and black sneakers.
