RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmonders are learning more about  plans to bring bus rapid transit to a seven mile stretch of Broad Street from Willow Lawn to Rocketts Landing.

GRTC kicked off a round of hearings Tuesday night to get public feedback on the plan, being called a game changer for public transportation in the region.  GRTC says the goal is to move riders quicker, relieve traffic congestion, clean up the environment and provide commuters an efficient travel option. Another bus rapid transit hearing takes place Wednesday night from 6 to 8 pm at Main Street Station.
