RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - On Wednesday morning the high profile trial for  members of the outlaws biker-gang will start, and you can expect to see some extra security around the Federal courthouse.

Every precaution is being taken by the judge for this jury trial. There will be extra security screenings inside the courthouse as members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club are on trial and Federal investigators try to prove that members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club ran an illegal business for quite some time -- part of it happening right here in Central Virginia.

Twenty-seven members were picked up this year in a national crackdown on the group. Fourteen members have already pled guilty.  Five members are putting up a fight and will have their case heard Wednesday.

There will be security screenings when you walk in the main entrance, as well as another screenings before walking into the courtroom.  There will also be extra seating and a video feed in another courtroom if you want to come down and see what happens for yourself.

Jury selection starts at 9:30 am Wednesday morning. We'll have a live update on what's happening inside the courtroom starting on 12 News at Noon.

The outlaws have been around since the 1930's. They are rivals with the Hell's Angels.
