RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - If you're looking for a quicker bus ride through parts of Richmond, Tuesday is your night to speak up. On Tuesday night you'll get to see what some bus stops along the planned route would look like.

It would include revamped bus stops and a special travel lane along Broad Street to make sure you're ride is a lot quicker than it is now. Buses make about 700 trips a day up and down Broad Street.

Now GRTC leaders are looking at fixing the fight between cars and buses by adding rapid bus lines in the area. The new rapid bus lines would run 7 miles from Willow Lawn all the way down to Rocketts Landing. The route would travel primarily on Broad Street, but would also run down Main Street from 14th Street to Rocketts Landing.  Willow lawn and Rocketts Landing would be the hubs, and there would be about ten stops in between.

On Tuesday leaders will show you what they hope these new stops to look like.  It would include ticket machine, covered areas, along with benches to sit on and machines telling you when the bus will arrive.  Those time machines have a lot of bus riders pretty excited.

The meetings where you can speak up are set for Tuesday night at the DMV on West Broad Street. A second meeting will take place on Wednesday at the Main Street Train Station. Both meetings will run from 6 until 8 pm. If you can't make the meetings, you can comment until November 19th.
