Suspect sought in Semmes Ave convenience store robbery

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Police need the public's help to identify the man who robbed a local Fas Mart on Saturday.

At approximately 6:40 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, a man walked into the Fas Mart at 2107 Semmes Ave. and asked the clerk for a carton of cigarettes.

When the clerk went to get them, the robber pulled out a gun and robbed the store. He stole an undisclosed amount of money as well as five cartons of Newport cigarettes.

The robber is described as a black male between the ages of 23 and 25; approximately 5'10" to 6'02" in height and weighing between 180 pounds to 200 pounds. He was armed with a small, black handgun, possibly a revolver.

He was last seen wearing a tan-colored, medium-sized jacket with dark brown fur trimming, a large, dark-colored knit cap, sunglasses, dark-colored jeans and light brown shoes.
