CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - Lake Chesdin is filling back up, so that means emergency water restrictions could be lifted any day now.

The Appomattox River Water Authority tells NBC12 that mandatory restrictions could be back in place as soon as Wednesday.

There are some other changes too. The authority will install a flow gauge on the river to help officials match the amount of water coming into the lake to the amount going out.

They've also ordered an independent audit to address their handling of the drought situation.
