Volunteers wanted for Red Kettle Campaign

Posted by Shawn Maclauchlan

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Salvation Army will soon need your help, and not just with donations.

The Red Kettle Campaign kicks off exactly one month from today.

The Salvation Army says it still needs a lot of volunteers to help ring the bell in the Richmond metro area.

A Salvation Army spokesperson tells the Times-Dispatch, on an average day, a volunteer could collect around $200.

And the best kettle last year raised $1,200 on a day when a Salvation Army musician volunteered.

To learn how to volunteer, you can call the Salvation Army at 804-225-7470.
