RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Hundreds of leaders in the energy business are in Richmond for Governor Bob McDonnell's conference on energy.

The governor says his goal is to make the Commonwealth the east coast energy capital. He wants to use solar and wind power and offshore oil fields to create jobs, but one group says he's going about it the wrong way.

The Sierra Club released a report that states Governor McDonnell is chasing old energy and ignoring offshore wind and energy conservation.
