City of Richmond leaf collection schedule

The city's Vacuum Leaf Collection program will resume on Monday, January 24.  The program was temporarily suspended due to snowstorms in the area.  The same equipment is used for leaf collection and snow removal. 

The revised schedule, which contains the remainder of the first vacuum cycle, includes areas that have not been previously vacuumed.  The updated schedule is as follows: 

Revised Leaf Collection Schedule:  Cycle 1

January 24 – January 28 - The Fan/Shaffer

January 24 – February 4 - Westover Hills/Forest Hill/Woodland Heights

January 31 – February 11 - Bellevue/Ginter Park/Washington Park

February 7 – February 18 - Broad Rock/Brookbury

February 14 – February 25 - Church Hill/Fulton

February 21 – February 25 - Worthington Farms

February 28 – March 4 - Maymont/Byrd Park/Oregon Hill/Carillon

February 28 – March 4 - Westover Gardens

March 7 – March 11 - Newtowne/Carver/Jackson Ward

You can use our Bag-n-Go Program, 646-LEAF

Just put your bagged leaves near your property line in biodegradable bags.

• The bags are environmentally friendly and can be recycled along with the leaves.

• We'll pick up 6 bags on your regular trash day year around.

• We'll pick up as many bags as you put out during your neighborhood's vacuum collection cycle.

You also can dispose of bagged or loose leaves yourself by taking them to:

• East Richmond Road Convenience Center (3800 East Richmond Road at Jennie Scher Rd)

• The "Powerline" (8600 Huguenot Rd. at NW corner of Chippenham Parkway)

• Maury Street Landfill (2900 Maury St.)
