Dealing with depression

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Not every health issue deals with the obvious symptoms.  Sometimes your health can be connected as much to your mental well being as it can your physical well being.

Dr. John Clay is bringing attention to depression at Primary Health Group-Hopewell.

Symptoms include feelings of sadness, guilt, poor concentration, energy loss, decreased appetite, sleep problems, and social withdrawal.

To help take prescribed medications, daily exercise, talking about your problems with friends and family, and pastoral counsel.

See help if your symptoms last more than 2 weeks or if you develop feelings of hurting yourself or others.
