RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The State Fair isn't the only thing happening about town. Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens are kicking off their Halloween seasons this weekend, and you don't have to let ticket prices for all three events scare you.
The least expensive of these three events is the State Fair. Admission ranges from 10-15 dollars depending on when you go, but the rides will cost you extra. The fair is offering admission plus 40 ride tickets for $30. Each ride costs 2-6 tickets, so you'll get about 10 out of that deal. Plus the fair has printable coupons for food and merchandise on its website.
Military members and their families get a $3 discount at the gate and McDonalds has vouchers for 30 ride tickets for $20.
All you fear is here at Kings Dominion's Halloween Haunt. A regular ticket price sets you back $56.99, but there are two ways to cut that number almost in half. Henrico Parks and Rec. offers a fall fun ticket that goes for $29. So does the Kings Dominion corporate partners page. Enter "haunt04" and you'll pay less than $30.
If you desire more fright, Howl O' Scream has begun at Busch Gardens with an entry fee of $63.99. Papa John's and Wendy's have $15 off coupons and Ticketmaster sells them for $47.95. Henrico Parks and Rec. can help you here too. Their website offers them at $46. If you're a Virginia resident and plan on going more than once, you can buy a Fall Fun Card for a regular admission price of $63.99 and return as often as you like until Halloween night.
The State Fair is open now, Busch Gardens' Howl O' Scream begins Friday and Kings Dominion's Halloween Haunts starts Saturday.
