RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The Pentagon still isn't saying much about what caused a NATO helicopter to crash early this week in southern Afghanistan, but it has confirmed that all nine killed were US service members, including  a Navy chief from Virginia Beach.

Thirty-year-old David Blake McLendon died in the crash. His sister tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch he was a senior chief in naval special warfare.

She says he trained with a Navy Seal team but was not serving as a Seal.
