RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - The man charged with concealing and disposing of a dead body appeared in a Richmond court this morning.
A judge certified the felony charge against Alphonzo Richardson.
Richardson says in July he helped get rid of Tameka Claiborne's body in an effort to protect her son. She's the mother who disappeared back in July. Her son was found roaming around a Chesterfield apartment complex.
Claiborne's fiance, Michael Solomon, is charged in the murder. Richardson said Solomon threatened to hurt the little boy and that's when he got involved.
Richardson is due back in court next month. Richardson's bond was denied last month. He was on probation for a marijuana charge in Texas.
Solomon, the man police say murdered Tameka Claiborne, will go on trial in January.
