September 9: Restaurant Report

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - We usually tell you about the restaurants that had critical violations on their state health inspections in the Restaurant Report. This time we decided to highlight local restaurants that are doing an exceptional job, earning perfect scores on their inspections.

We set out across Greater Richmond to award the NBC 12 Hall of Fame Awards. The first stop, Bill's Barbecue at 927 Myers Street in Richmond, which serves up its famous special: a minced barbecue sandwich, lemonade, and chocolate pie. And they don't cut corners. Bill's has earned perfect scores on every inspection over the last year.

You won't miss the forest for the trees, or the cleanliness, at our next stop, Glenn's Forest Café at 7202 Glen Forest Drive in Henrico County. This Hall of Fame winner hasn't had a single critical violation in nearly two years and has earned perfect scores on 4 out of its last six inspections.

We end our journey in Noodleville, Noodles and Company, 15785 Westchester Commons Main Street in Chesterfield, serving up pastas from all over the world. There's nothing flimsy about the way this restaurant is kept clean. Every state health inspection over the last year has been perfect.

Bon appetit!
