CHESTERFIELD COUNTY (WWBT) - New schools in Chesterfield and Henrico will be open for business Tuesday. Chesterfield has a new high school and Henrico has a new high school and middle school.

The new Clover Hill High School can hold 1750 students. The school board approved its construction in 2007. The campus that resembles Cosby High School, replaces the 34-year old Clover Hill High School off of Hull Street Road.

In Henrico, Glen Allen High School and Holman Middle School feature cutting-edge technology. Students will get to use iPods during lessons. The pair of Henrico schools was built for a combined cost of just under $100 million.

Glen Allen High School will hold only ninth and tenth graders this year. More students will be phased in over the next two years, because the district did not want to take juniors and seniors away from their current schools.

In Chesterfield the old Chester Middle School will open as a freshman campus Tuesday.

People living near Clover Hill High School should expect a change in traffic as 1700 students are headed to the school.
