Richmond man arrested after fleeing checkpoint

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond man charged with running from a state police check point.

The chase happened just before two Monday. State police say they tried to stop 34-year-old O'Neil Gooden near the Woods-Edge Rd. exit off of I-95. He took off.

Police chased him for 4 miles, reaching speeds of 80 miles an hour.

Gooden got off at Route 10 and soon crashed into two state troopers. Those troopers and Gooden were hurt, but will be okay.

He faces several charges, including possession of marijuana. He's still in the hospital.
