Extra security for Louisa shooting victims' funerals

LOUISA COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - Extra security will be in place for this weekend's funerals for two cousins killed in a mass shooting in Louisa County on Sunday.

The safety measures are just a precaution should any problems arise among relatives of Charles Sponaugle, Sr. Police say he killed his son and nephew in a dispute over property.

Visitation: 6-8pm today (Friday). Preddy Funeral Home, Gordonsville.
Funeral: 11:00am Saturday, Preddy Funeral Home, Gordonsville.

Charles (Charlie) Steadman, Jr.
Visitation: 6-8pm tomorrow (Saturday), Preddy Funeral Home, Gordonsville.
Funeral: 2pm Sunday, New Life Community Church, Louisa.

Sponaugle was killed in a shootout with Louisa Sheriff's Deputies.  So far there's no word on plans for his funeral service.
