Chesterfield house fire leaves one person in hospital

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Two people are without a place to stay after an overnight house fire in Chesterfield.

The fire started just before midnight Thursday at a home in the 5300 block of West Hundred Road in Chesterfield.

We're told that when crews arrived, heavy flames and smoke were showing.

The fire was contained to the back porch and kitchen areas.

One person was taken to the hospital, and is expected to be okay.

Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
