Bees moved from Byrd Park to Bryan Park

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A problem buzzing around Richmond's Byrd Park has been solved.

City workers removed this bee hive from a tree that fell during storms a few weeks ago.

The swarm has prevented crews from removing the giant tree.

Urban forestry crews removed the section of the tree trunk that contains the bees and moved it to the natural area in the back of Joseph Bryan Park.

The hope is that the bees will then be able to live there happily ever after and away from areas with plenty of foot traffic.
