RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - We're getting more insight as to why Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli wants Craigslist to take down its adult services section.
We spent just a few minutes on the Richmond Craigslist site. And even though no one overtly is advertising prostitution, it doesn't take much to read between the lines.
On one posting, we found a woman who describes herself as a "gorgeous blonde." She even offers up her statistics so you know what to expect.
She never talks specifically about sex, but she does outline how much spending time with her will cost.
Then there is the "girl next door," who posts her picture in a seductive pose, the only additional information is a phone number.
Another thing Craigslist opponents are concerned about, its easy access. There is a warning page, and some parental controls, but the responsibility is all on the person clicking through.
Where they will be exposed to phone sex solicitations like one that promise "no limits" and an ad, that offers "ebony on sale."
A spokesman from for the Attorney General said they don't have a plan in place yet if Craigslist doesn't comply with their request to take down their adult services site. Brian Gottstein said that once they do, that won't comment on any potential legal strategy.
