CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - Wednesday is the last day a Chesterfield landfill has to prove its case for expansion.
Shoosmith Brothers wants to use its rock quarry to store out-of-state trash, but last month, the county's planning commission voted against it.
At that meeting nearly a dozen people showed up to oppose the plan. They say the landfill stench is still overwhelming, despite changes the company says it made.
At Wednesday's public hearing, the company plans to make a final presentation to the County Board of Supervisors.
