Emergency Room coming to Goochland County

GOOCHLAND COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - A new emergency room center is coming to Goochland County.

It will be located near the intersection of Route 288 and Tuckahoe Parkway.

HCA announced this week that it will build the ER as the first phase of the West Creek Medical Center.

The facility is designed to improve access to emergency care for people in parts of Goochland, Henrico, Powhatan and Chesterfield Counties.

Construction of the West Creek Emergency Center will begin this fall and should finish by 2012.

The cost of the project is $11.2 million.
