UPDATE: Names of 2 men arrested following police pursuit released

DINWIDDIE, VA (WWBT) - Police have released the names of the two North Carolina men arrested after leading police on a pursuit on Interstate 85 Tuesday morning.

The driver of the vehicle, Milton K. Cooper, 43, of Henderson, NC has been charged with no operators license, reckless driving, felony eluding police, trafficking heroin and distribution of heroin.

The passenger, Aubrey L. Fleming, 46, of Kittrell, NC has been charged with trafficking heroin and distribution of heroin.

Virginia State Police said troopers attempted to stop them as they were traveling southbound on I-85 for a traffic violation near mile marker 55 around 6:15 a.m.

The men did not stop, approached speeds of 120 MPH, and threw items out the window while eluding police.

A deputy from the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office assisted Virginia State Police and deployed stinger spikes to deflate the vehicle's tires.  The vehicle eventually came to a stop near mile marker 22.

The men are being held at the Brunswick County Jail with no bond.

No one was injured.
