CULPEPER, VA (WWBT) - A 22-year-old Culpeper man faces several felony charges following an investigation by Culpeper police into incidents on July 29 and July 30.
Early this morning, Culpeper police charged Antonio Gerrell Perkins, of the 1900 block of Orange Road, with felony abduction and threaten to burn, along with a misdemeanor count of assault and battery.
The joint town police and Culpeper County Sheriff's Office Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on Perkins' Orange Road residence at 5 a.m., Friday, looking for Perkins, drugs and a gun.
"We got suspected marijuana and half a vial of suspected PCP," said Capt. Rick Pinksaw.
The arrest warrants were served relating to two incidents. On July 29, Perkins allegedly threatened to burn down the residence of the 19-year-old female victim, with whom he had a prior relationship.
The following day, Perkins allegedly held the woman for three hours against her will at his home allegedly assaulting her. She told police that she tried to leave four or five times but Perkins prevented her from doing so.
The victim was able to run from the house, caught a ride to a fast food restaurant where she met police to report both incidents. The woman was not injured.
Pinksaw said drug charges against Perkins are pending.
