Amtrak service south of D.C. resumes

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Amtrak said rail service south of Washington, D.C. has resumed following CSX's train derailment Thursday.

An exception is Amtrak's Miami to New York Silver Star train #92 is cancelled Saturday due to equipment manipulations stemming from the derailment. 

Passengers will be accommodated on Amtrak Silver Meteor train #98.

    16-year-old Raven Little-White died in August, after a boating accident on Lake Waccamaw. The medical examiner’s report lists “drowning” as the probable cause of death, but a toxicology report that came back later revealed Raven had actually succumbed to carbon monoxide poisoning.
