Adult staff member dies during Boy Scout Jamboree

CAROLINE, VA (WWBT) - The Boy Scouts of America confirmed the death of an adult staff member on Wednesday during the Jamboree being held in Caroline County.

On Wednesday morning, the BSA medical team was alerted to a 67-year-old adult staff member who was found unresponsive in bed.  Upon arriving at the staff quarters, they determined the man was deceased, according to the Boy Scouts of America.

The Jamboree worked with the Scouting officials in his home area to notify his family.  Also, the  medical team worked with the military and local medical personnel to review the situation.
