Richmond mother arrested for shooting adult son

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) – Police have charged a 58-year-old woman with aggravated assault for allegedly shooting her son.

Police say Gilda Anderson shot her son Friday morning at their home in the 1000 block of Chimborazo Blvd.

The adult son was taken to VCU Medical Center and is expected to survive.

No word on what led up to the shooting.
