RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Commonwealth's Attorney Michael Herring plans to request murder charges next week against the prime suspect in the murder of Tameka Claiborne.

Michael Solomon has already been charged with the abduction of Claiborne's 3-year-old son, Malik Ellison.

Her body was found on the shore of the James River in Charles City county a week ago. She'd been stabbed to death.

Herring says he will ask a multi-jurisdictional grand jury for a murder indictment on Tuesday.

Claiborne's funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Deliverance Evangelistic Church at 1701 Turner Road. The service is open to the public.
