RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A warning this morning - fake cashiers checks from a Henrico bank are in circulation.

It's one of two Virginia banks that's been hit by counterfeiters.

Those counterfeit cashier's checks have the name of Franklin Federal Savings Bank on them.

But the Henrico bank doesn't issue cashier's checks.

So here's what's on the bogus checks.

They show the routing number 251072968.

The checks are light blue with a star design background.

A security feature statement is embedded in a darkened top border and along the bottom border between two padlock icons.

The words "cashier's check" and "member FDIC" are near the top right corner.

A box on the right side shows the check date, number and amount, with the statement "void if not cashed in 90 days" just above it.

It's unknown how many of the counterfeit checks are out there or how long they've been in circulation.
