Two men shot in South Richmond

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Two men are recovering at VCU Medical Center after being attacked by an unknown gun-man as they were walking together here at the corner of 17th and Ingram Streets in south Richmond.

According to police, the two unidentified men were together when an unknown gunman shot them both.

In the wake of the shooting, the two victims separated. They were both found near each other and eventually taken to the hospital.

Police are now talking to people in the neighborhood, hoping to learn who is responsible.

"If somebody knows or has seen anything in this area, or in this neighborhood to call us immediately. We have officers right here that can talk to you that can meet with you later that can meet with you anonymously but its important to reach out right now and find the person who did this," said Richmond Police spokesperson Gene Lepley.

At this point, police do not have a suspect. They are only working off a very broad description. If you know anything about the shooting, contact Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
